Rodney Leon, AIA, NOMA Rodney Leon, founder and principal of
Rodney Leon Architects PLLC
Mr. Leon is the designer of the African Burial Ground Memorial in New York City which is the only National Monument in the United States dedicated to the history of the Africans whose force enslavement built New York City. Mr. Leon is also the Designer of The Ark of Return, a permanent Memorial at the United Nations that honors the victims of the transatlantic slave trade.
Mr. Leon received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Pratt Institute School of Architecture and his Masters of Architecture from Yale University. He has also been a Visiting Design Professor at Pratt Institute School of Architecture and served as 2nd Year Design Coordinator for Pratt, Mr. Leon is currently serving there as an Adjunct Professor of Advanced Design.
